Elmo rant

So, a friend loaned me an Elmo video for my 2 yo old. Thought it might help us on our upcoming x-country plane trip. So, I thought I'd show it to her ahead of time, and make sure she liked it before lugging it with us. (Bear in the Big Blue House scares her.)

The first Elmo video she's ever seen. She loved it. Daycare has an Elmo doll, and Elmo books, and an Elmo CD, so she's firmly latched on to the character.

And I think I'm going to let her watch it on the plane, and then ban Elmo from the house. Because when Elmo wants to learn more about something, he **TURNS ON THE TV** I am deeply distressed by this. B currently watches *NO* TV, but I think a few more repetitions of Elmo would cause this household much grief.
